PASTOR HENOCK TEKLEMARIAM
We are happy to introduce Pastor Henock Teklemariam, his wife Fedait (Fedi) and children Abigail (Abbi), Ethan, and Moriah (Mori).
Pastor Henock completed his Master of Divinity at Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Edmonton. As part of his Masters of Divinity Degree, he served for a year as vicar/intern at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Invermere. Our congregation is thrilled Pastor Henock and his family joined us in the Fraser Valley in August 2023.
Pastor Henock and Fedi are originally from Eritrea (East Africa). He studied and served in the USA, Toronto, Edmonton, and Golden. His special interests include preaching, Bible studies, pastoral care, outreach, and leadership.
Pastor Henock has a heart for people and for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as you will see when you visit our church.
HALYNA – Office Secretary
My name is Halyna Korpalo Gundupalli. I am from Ukraine. I was born in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic family. My grandma was imprisoned because she did not want to tell the Soviets Church persecutors where her family had hidden the priests.
I did my studies of Theology in the Ukrainian Catholic University, in the city of Lviv, where I have obtained my Master`s Degree in Theology, Philosophy and Ancient Greek. Later I successfully defended my Doctorate A (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies) in the Lyon Catholic University, in France.
I worked around 5 years in the Ukrainian Catholic University. First, in the Catechetical Pedagogical Institute, as a secretary. And later on, in the Institute of Ecumenical Studies, at the beginning as a secretary, then as a project manager.
In 2012, I celebrated my marriage with my husband John Gundupalli in the Lutheran Church in India. We were blessed with 3 kids: Rebekah, Hannah and Joshua. Last 12 years I lived with my family in India.
In March 2023 my family moved to Canada.
